Finding Assistance through the
PPSC Refugee Support Project
If you are a refugee who has been impacted by the ongoing Refugee Crisis, you are in the right place! At PPSC (Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center) we have formed the Refugee Support Project, a network of volunteers to meet the needs of Refugees both abroad and here in the United States of America. We provide crisis and Mental Healmarith support services to refugees AND their loved ones.
PPSC RSP will offer 1-5 pro-bono mental health support sessions from one of our experienced Licensed Clinicians. Translators are available to assist when needed. Upon completion of those sessions, you may continue with your therapist at an affordable fee or referred for further assistance. PPSC RSP will also provide resources for asylum assistance and support services as needed. Click here for information about our care coordinators and outreach assistants.
Please complete and submit this form, and we will assist you as soon as possible:
PPSC therapists are LGBT affirmative and culturally sensitive. Fees are set in conjunction with your therapist based on your ability to pay.
We accept Aetna, NYU, and Marymount Student insurance plans. Depending on your health insurance, you may be covered for out-of-network services and may be reimbursed by your insurer.
PPSC's Treatment Service voicemail is always available by calling (212) 633-9162. One of our therapists will respond to your voicemail within one business day.
NOTE: There are inherent risks in communicating by email. You should not use email communication if you are concerned about breaches of confidentiality that might inadvertently occur. If you wish to discuss a private or sensitive matter, please phone the Treatment Center at (212) 633-9162 rather than using this form.
